I snipped some bittersweet off the vines outside my “other studio”. I just love bittersweet! And I love blackbirds too, especially in the bare November trees against the blue skies. Such a contrast! I was inspired to paint two small watercolor/ ink pieces (which I think I will use for my current silk piece!)
I had a relaxing weekend. Sipped tea and created lots of little paintings in my cozy studio room. My husband snapped this picture when I wasnt looking. Each day I create these small (4″ by 6″) paintings. Quiet, spiritual and earthy pieces which may become bigger works of art- paintings, silk, surface design, etc. Sort of preliminary sketches, a jotting down of ideas, composition and color. While I can’t share them all…I’ll share some with you now…
Despite the rainy, windy weather….I grabbed my umbrella and went for a walk. I find much inspiration on rainy days, especially rainy fall days. Roots and water. A magical little oasis. Sunny spots. Look at these mushrooms! I love all the texture. Some spider had a blast “webbing” this. I didn’t find a faerie ring…but …
