wild roses, swamp lilies, scissors and things

Have been getting out more, finally! Before all the rain came we took Little O to the lake and sat down a bit for a short picnic. Now the skies are rainy and gray and it is quite depressing. I usually like rainy days but I have spent so much time inside I am itching to go exploring with my little one! Indoors, I have been playing with all my new collections and things.
I have been collecting ship plaques and tiny antique scissors.
The wild roses are still blooming here.
Tomorrow is the start of my most favorite month!

  1. I do hope your family little picnic was wonderful!
I am so jealous of your little ship plaques collection, how wonderful it must be to have all of these treasures around you!
October is one of my favorite month too (along with December and May, It hink). It just holds so much magic, and the weather is perfect. It explodes with beauty every year.
    Have a nice day, dear

p.s. thank you so much for your comment on my blog. It made me very happy! I’m glad to see you online again, as I have missed your words/pictures/art. thank you thank you 🙂

  2. Wild roses are so magical, I find! : ) What a lovely time of year, is it not! Wishing you and your family a beautiful Autumn-time!

  3. Ooooh, look at that bird and ship! Are they both pendants? Or perhaps the ship is a brooche? You always find the neatest stuff, Sarah. And your photographs are recognizably yours…you have a certain look, a style.
