sea

I have been spending most of my time on this, here’s a peek:

Theres a lot more going on in it than shown ( I don’t want to spoil anything!) but the birds (they will be red winged blackbirds) are carrying little somethings tied in bright blue ribbons. There’s also a sister. I think it needs to be put away for a day or two while some layers dry. Paint does build up and turns gooey.

Last reminder, don’t forget about the giveaway! There’s still time until tomorrow to submit names for the drawing!

  1. Cant wait to see the whole thing! I am totally loving your 1930s girls, you paint such beautiful bobs! 🙂 Do you ever do commissions? Many of your current paintings remind me of photos I have of my great-grandma Pansy….
Glad to see you painting so prolifically! Must be good painting weather there in New Jersey!~

    1. Thanks so much again heather! You are too sweet! I am completely flattered! No, I don’t do commissions but I am always sifting through old photos to use as reference for a painting someday (and they rarely come out looking like my model but elements of the person are in there I think)
If you’d like you can email me the image and I can put her in my files to use! I
