…From the crop of my most recent bags, she’s “Faerie of the Mist” handpainted and appliqued on corduroy, from my original art and pattern.

Owl in Central Park

Went walking through Central Park yesterday. There’s this whimsical owl carved into a pillar at the entrance of Bethesda Terrace. Often I take a picture with him. Here he is, Mr. Hoot the Owl:

Ah, Fall. Here’s me and my stone owl friend-

And I found a picture of me and Hoot from the summer. Through all seasons, it’s just me and my owl friend.

Hoot the owl has a friend in the next pillar over- A witch riding her broomstick over a curious Jack-O-Lantern. Perfect for the season.

There’s another relief stone sculpture just down the steps of the terrace. I love the stone vines, berries and birds.

daily art

Each day I create these small (4″ by 6″) paintings. Quiet, spiritual and earthy pieces which may become bigger works of art- paintings, silk, surface design, etc. Sort of preliminary sketches, a jotting down of ideas, composition and color. While I can’t share them all…I’ll share some with you now…
