The leaves are blowing off the trees, leaving October behind. I have been in a slight state of hiding&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sarahblankstudios.com\/images\/blog\/070411_1.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>\nThings to occupy the time<\/p>\n<p>\n&hearts; handwriting dreams, inspirations and art ideas in my sketchbook<br \/>\n&hearts; eating lots of peppermints<br \/>\n&hearts; playing in my art journals with fragments of lace, torn pages from old books and paint<br \/>\n&hearts; browsing in junk shops and finding the most whimsical things<br \/>\n&hearts; going through my stash of old fabrics and finding velvets and embroideries 100 years old<br \/>\n&hearts; working on a painting I started a year and a half ago&#8230;and taking it in a completely different direction!<br \/>\n&hearts; making little wool doo-dads for my shoes from felt and vintage buttons<br \/>\n&hearts; being excited about wearing lush, wintery layers of wool, corduroy and velvet&#8230;. and most of all, tights!<br \/>\n&hearts; being inspired by the wind and cold and spending lots of time outdoors<\/p>\n<p>\nAnd here are some pictures of my recent endeavours&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>\nfound things and the most beautiful tidbit of velvet<\/p>\n<p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sarahblankstudios.com\/images\/blog\/070411_2.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>\nmy &#8220;new&#8221; vintage spectator shoes with an embelishment I made from 1940&#8217;s materials- buttons and fabric clipped from an old patchy quilt<\/p>\n<p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sarahblankstudios.com\/images\/blog\/071104_3.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>\nmy most favorite, softest skirt<\/p>\n<p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sarahblankstudios.com\/images\/blog\/071104_4.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>\nfound vinage tin with wonderful folksy winter designs<\/p>\n<p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sarahblankstudios.com\/images\/blog\/070411_5.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>\nAnd I am absolutely <i>thrilled<\/i> I hit 100 sales <a href=\"http:\/\/www.etsy.com\/shop.php?user_id=5080439\">in my esty shop<\/a> the other day! Thanks to all of my customers who buy and support my art prints!
